Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 29 June 2025
Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Cacuda's services. It is designed to protect the integrity of our platform, comply with the law, and ensure a safe experience for all users. This policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service.
Permitted Use
Cacuda is designed for legitimate content moderation and detection purposes, including:
- Detecting AI-generated images and text
- Filtering spam and unwanted content
- Moderating NSFW or inappropriate content
- Verifying age-appropriateness of images
- Building automated moderation pipelines for websites, forums, and applications
Prohibited Content
You must not submit the following types of content to Cacuda for scanning:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Submission of CSAM is strictly prohibited and will be reported to law enforcement immediately.
- Content depicting real violence or abuse for the purpose of gratification, promotion, or distribution.
- Content that facilitates terrorism or violent extremism.
- Personal data of others submitted without consent or lawful basis, including identity documents, private photos, or medical records.
Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Reverse-engineer our models — use the Service to extract, replicate, distil, or reconstruct our detection models, training data, or algorithms.
- Circumvent detection — use the Service to learn how to evade AI detection and then apply those learnings to pass off AI-generated content as human-created.
- Abuse rate limits — make excessive API requests intended to degrade service quality for other users.
- Resell without authorisation — resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without a written agreement from Cacuda.
- Misrepresent results — present Cacuda scan results as legally binding evidence, certified analysis, or expert testimony without appropriate qualification.
- Automate account creation — create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits or abuse promotional offers.
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes — including surveillance, harassment, discrimination, or any activity that violates applicable law.
API-Specific Rules
- API keys are for your use only. Do not share, publish, or embed API keys in client-side code.
- Respect rate limits. If you need higher throughput, contact us about Enterprise plans.
- Include appropriate error handling in your integrations. Do not retry failed requests in tight loops.
Automod-Specific Rules
- Automod pipelines must be configured with genuine moderation intent. Do not create pipelines solely to consume free-tier resources or test system limits.
- You are responsible for the moderation actions your Automod pipelines take. Cacuda provides the tools; the moderation decisions are yours.
Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, with or without notice depending on severity.
- Rate-limit or block API keys engaged in abusive behaviour.
- Report illegal content or activity to the relevant authorities.
- Cooperate with law enforcement investigations as required by law.
Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it to abuse@cacuda.com. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
